Vegas, Baby, Vegas! Vegassssss!

I'm the kind of guy who likes having things to look forward to. (Preferably if they don't involve any work.) Many times, this will mean vacations/trips which are months away can serve as my focal point -- my raison d'ĂȘtre, if you will -- sustaining my "just hold on thaaaaat much longer" mindset for a surprisingly long period of time.

My friend Elizabeth, who has recently given her notice at her high-powered law firm, so now she's basically a lame duck with tons o' cash lying around, has been spending her time looking for things to occupy her during her no-longer-billing-300-hours-a-month time. Thankfully, despite the fact that she has (I presume) oodles of cash, she still likes to bargain hunt.

She settled on Las Vegas for the Fourth of July weekend.

She pointed me to the cheap fares.

I'm so there. (Now I just need to find reasonably priced accommodations.)

Vegas here I come!... in a few months, of course.

I'm the same way. I've been looking forward to May (Star Wars), June (REM concert), and then July (Harry Potter book 6) for months.

I've never been to Vegas. A tragedy, no?

Usually, from the moment I wake up, I look forward to my following bed time. Doesn't really work though.

Cool! Old people and buffets. I'd like to go to Vegas too, pig out, win a little at roulette, marry some stranger in an Elvis chapel and get it anulled the next morning, good times!

That's funny - I was going to Vegas on the 4th! We had to cancel, though, because have another expensive trip that got in the way. (No oodles of cash lying around for us, I'm afraid!)

All I need is that something to look forward to....

Jon: Buy yourself a ticket and look for me there. :)

Kat: Aaaw, too bad. It would have been cool to run into you thousands of miles from home, but not know who you are. Hahaha.

Make room reservations NOW, it gets pricey for a holiday weekend. I've stayed at Harrah's (OK), Luxor (Good), and the excellent Mandalay Bay. Also I've gotten a room Nort of Vegas for a reasonable price and once stayed in the AWFUL Wild, Wild West gaming hall and truck stop. God Awful.

Done. Woo hoo! We're staying at the Boardwalk.

It appears I will have a room all to myself, which is not good, because it's not as cheap as I'd prefer. If anyone happens to be going to Vegas that weekend and wants to split a room....
