I Can See the BBSs All Atwitter

Overheard between two adults in part of a group on Thomas Circle, 7/12/05 12:55 pm:

Guy: I wonder if Ron and Hermione get it on...
Girl: Oh, they totally do!

... because, of course, the thought that two high school age kids will "get it on" in what was originally intended to be a children's book would go over SO well with parents around the world.

Here I thought she had a crush on Harry. I guess the bigger question is actually whether Harry will get it on with Cho.

I don't think she likes Harry "that way." But I do think Harry will get it on with Cho.

Kat: It was pretty funny hearing random adults on the street say it....

Steve: Steve Steve Steve Steve Steve....

Vince: I think Cho kind of dropped out of the picture when she became inconvenient, like any baby born in a sitcom.

Melissa: I kind of hope so! But I plan to wait for the hype to die down before reading it (I'll hunt it down and borrow it from a library), so if you read it first, don't tell me anything.

Dennis! i'm planning the same thing. waiting around until i can check it out at ye olde library. and i read a theory somewhere that cho is gonna join up with old voldy - somethng about a woman scorned. well, it's an interesting possibility anyway.

I've heard that it's fiction, and that none of these people are real...

I stay away from those books now that Pope Benedict condemned them ;)

Kat: When I did the library thing for the last book, my friend "accused" me of "stealing the book from some poor DC kid who would otherwise be enjoying it." I laughed at her. After all, that kid sure doesn't pay taxes for the city to buy the book.

Matt: And your point is....?

Jon: Indeed. We must all strive to live our lives according to the Pope's mandates. . . . . . . . Shyeah, as if! :)

No point, Dennis. ;-)
